Equnix successfully assisted Bank Mandiri, Tbk with upgrading their SMS banking gateway. Prior to the upgrade, According to the MRI research conducted in 2010, the SMS electronic channel of Bank Mandiri was ranked 4th with a score of 84.12%. However, after an assessment and upgrading process by Equnix, which involved changing modules related to the SMS Banking application, the ranking increased to 2nd place in 2011 with a score of 97.13%, indicating a significant 13% increase in value. Additionally, Bank Mandiri's SMS Banking is now the largest SMS Banking in Indonesia, capable of generating 1 million traffic without any problem. The upgrades performed by Equnix helped Bank Mandiri win the number 1 "Best Service Excellence 2012" award. While not a technology upgrade per se, the changes made by Equnix to reengineer the SMS Banking system by replacing several problematic modules have significantly improved its performance and scalability.

The solutions were designed to support more than 60 SMS per second, with the capability to scale up to more than 120 SMS per second without adding more cores. Additionally, Equnix proposed a new SMS command that was simpler and easier to use. The new system was designed to be easily scalable and maintainable, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing availability. The new SMS command was also compatible with the old system, making the transition smoother for customers.

Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) is a state-owned bank in Indonesia that was established in 1897. It is one of the largest banks in Indonesia and primarily serves the retail banking sector. Bank BJB (BJB) formerly Bank Jabar Banten, is one of the BUMD Banks owned by the Provincial Government of West Java and Banten. BJB provides services in the field of economy and banking. Equnix implements PostgreSQL inside BJB on IBM Power7 Server machines with up to 128 Hardware Threads. Equnix Services for Bank BJB includes Maintenance Services, installation, configuration, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance on PostgreSQL BJB Database Server. The PostgreSQL installation on the BJB server was initially performed by the internal BJB team on only two cores, with performance test results of 2,500 Queries Per Second (QPS). Tuning was successfully done by Equnix on the PostgreSQL BJB system with the installation and re-configuration resulting in increased performance up to 5,000 QPS.

Equnix has been serving BJB since 2012 until now, both on IBM Power machines and Intel based machines. PostgreSQL Database System is used in many BJB applications, including: Transaction Gateway, Web Teller, Local Tax, Switching, Monitoring System. Equnix provided full Premium Maintenance Support for PostgreSQL implementation on 2 data centers in Telkomsel in 4 different instances using High Availability configuration within sites and between sites. PostgreSQL instances are used to support global Identity Management applications for critical services on Telkomsel. By using HA within site, when Master is down, Standby server will be ready anytime to take over the database services. And if the Main Site is down, Backup Site will take over the whole Production cluster and database access will be altered automatically to the promoted site.

PT. XL Axiata Tbk, known as XL (formerly PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk), is a Mobile Telecommunication Operator in Indonesia. More recently in 2016, Equnix helped Adira implement the PostgreSQL Database on the Adira Database system. This includes the Oracle Database migration effort to the PostgreSQL Database. This new Database System is implemented especially in support of AdiraBox's application operates serving "Mini Banking". This application is made up of eight core processors in the Adira system, with servers in the development environment, User Acceptance Test (UAT) servers, and servers in crucial production environments. The tuning effort of Equnix also managed to improve the performance of Adira Database system to about 3300 Queries per Second (QPS).

Equnix serves Lintasarta to setup PostgreSQL Databases on Production and Staging Servers for Lintasarta application needs. To prepare Server Production that is capable of handling high loads, Equnix performs Database Tuning and performs PostgreSQL Benchmark on Server Production. Equnix also configured Full Backup and Archiving (Incremental Backup) mechanisms and configure Stream Replication to reduce downtime during failover process.

Equnix serves Finnet in 2011 in implementing the PostgreSQL Database system for their IT systems, that is, by implementing Database Finnet migration from Oracle 10g to PostgreSQL. This migration includes Mobile Cash app migration, which uses mobile devices for financial transactions. Equnix successfully migrates the Finnet Database, including the structure, object and all Finnet data. There was a problem of compatibility between the old Oracle Database and the new Database in PostgreSQL, but Equnix could easily handle it in just three days.

Equnix returns to serve Finnet in migrating data and apps in 2012 so that most of their apps now use PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL usage speeds up the Database query time in the Finnet system from 40 seconds to just 1 second for every 1000 data.

OK! Bank Indonesia

Bank OKE Indonesia requires a solution to have a replication from their Oracle Production environment to Staging environment, and would be done in batch. ArkData’s Ark for CDC is the right solution to deliver realtime or batch data loads and replication between the instances. ArkData’s Ark for CDC has the ability to read Oracle’s Change Data Capture and transform or replicate it logically into another Database Server, in this case another Oracle Server.

In this PoC, Equnix replicates 5 (five) Tables with about 201 Millions of Rows in total. The Source is using the AIX Operating System, and the Target is using Linux with RHEL as the Distro. There are several tasks: DDL replication, Schema Mapping, Table Mapping, and management; these tasks already agreed before run and documented well as PoC Rundown Scenario. It runs for about 2 (two) weeks including technical meetings, coordination, preparation and demonstration. It was done well and ran as expected and within the timeline allowed.

ArkData’s Ark for CDC is the best option to resolve their requirement, and has proven well under User’s expectation, and runs at an accepted speed of transfer data. The data transfer is determined by the hardware speed such as network equipment, and the possibility of resource sharing when transferring. This PoC Shows a great transfer speed of about 5 thousands rows per second up to 22 thousands rows per seconds. Recently, Artajasa also purchased In-House PostgreSQL Training, this from 11-15 and 18 April 2022. The training was held online and was attended by 12 enthusiastic participants. The training covered PostgreSQL Advanced Training, including an introduction to RDBMS, ACID Concept, OLTP and OLAP, Core Architecture, Journaling, HA and DR, Archiving, and how to install PostgreSQL from Source Code. In addition, the training also covered Coding in Stored Procedure of PostgreSQL, Configuring Partition, Performance Tuning using Tablespace & Partition, Data sharding, Logical Decoding, and Art of Logging. The training was not only informative but also interactive, with quiz and Q&A sessions to ensure that participants understood the training material. Additionally, a hands-on session was conducted to extend participants' understanding. The training was a success, and all the participants gained valuable insights into PostgreSQL and its features.
